Our institution, the National Food Chain Safety Office is:

- responsible for the official acceptance of plant varieties (variety registration, list of varieties),

- responsible for the official inspection and control seed and reproductive material control (field inspection, sealing, labelling, seed testing, certification, post control tests in small plots),

- the National Designated Authority in frame of the international OECD Seed Schemes and a part of the EC/EU seed system of control for seed and reproductive material,

- responsible for fulfillment of rules the Act LII of 2003 on the official acceptance of plant varieties as well as production and marketing of seedand reproductive material of related decrees issued for implementation of the Act.
