DENMARK
The Danish Agricultural Agency is the official body for seed certification in Denmark. The practical task of plant variety rights, variety testing and seed certification has been delegated to a private foundation, The Tystofte Foundation, http://tystofte.dk. Decisions on granting plant variety rights, variety registration and seed certification have been delegated to the national Plant Variety Board.
The Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries is responsible for the national regulations for plant variety rights, variety testing and seed certification. The Danish Agricultural Agency is the regulating body for plant variety rights, variety testing as well as field inspection, sampling, seed testing, post control, seed certification and issuance of certificates for all species, including the following :
Cereal including maize
Fodder plants
Oil and Fibre species
Beet
Vegetables
Grasses
Legumes
