ESCAA Annual Meeting in Zagreb, Croatia May 2023
The ESCAA annual meeting was held in Zagreb, Croatia in May 2023.
36 participants from the seed certification agencies of 21 countries of the European Union, or from the European Economic Area (EEA) and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) as well as a representative of the European Commission were warmly welcomed by the Croatian colleagues.
During this working meeting, the members of the ESCAA had the opportunity to discuss multiple subjects and in particular to validate the revision of the statutes of the Association, to publish guidelines on the sampling of seed lots.
In addition, presentations by speakers from the National seed certification agency of Croatia and the Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food (HAPIH) gave an overview of the seed certification system in Croatia.
Technical visits complemented and fueled the discussions between experts.
